Meet the graduates
My education at SACI has allowed me to begin a fulfilling career as a Licensed Physical Therapist. I was given the opportunity to do my internship program in some of the busiest DOH/ Government hospitals in the country. These experiences helped me obtain various rehabilitation practices and skills.
Within the course, I was able to build a foundational understanding of the profession. I continue to use this knowledge during my practice. Moreover, my professors helped arise my curiosity and desire for continued learning. Overall, I am proud to be an alumna, for it helped me shape my career and the person I am today.
As a graduate of Southeast Asian College Inc., I can say that they truly serve their mission to provide education of the highest quality. They taught a lot of things that developed us graduates into who we are today.
I am thankful for all the knowledge and skills they’ve instilled in us to become professionals, not only in the aspect of being a clinician, but also an educator.
The College of Physical Therapy in Southeast Asian College Inc. was a blessing in disguise for me, specifically from the perspective of a transferee from another PT school. Unlike the previous school, SACI was a homecoming experience for me.
The professors are what made the college incredible and outstanding. They weren’t just instructors or lecturers; I saw them as people who were really passionate about helping their students achieve their dreams as professionals in their respective fields.
I will always respect, admire, and keep my professors close to my heart. Without them, I wouldn’t have become a college degree holder, nor a licensed Physical Therapist.
The SACI College of Physical Therapy is not just a school for me. It is a home where I felt safe to hone every bit of my skills, knowledge and talent. The department laid the best foundation for who I am today, what I have achieved, and what I will soon become in the future.
I wouldn’t be an amazing licensed physical therapist without the professors who helped me in every step of the way. I can clearly remember that during my board exam review, my professors would allow me to attend their classes so I can review better.
And today, not only do I have my very own clinic, but I am also a professor in the academy. In fact, I am more than excited to share that I was able to treat some celebrities immediately after I got my license! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would come this far!
Aside from the technical aspects of the profession, the school gave me the opportunity to use my other talents. I would always do free make up for our department’s candidate in the Ms. SACI pageant, which is an event held during the school’s foundation week. I always looked forward to that time of the school year because it allowed me to express my artistic talent without any hesitation.
Going back to my professors, they were the best support system I could have asked for. Not only did they nurture me in my profession, but they also nourished my personal growth and talents. I am very thankful for them. They were with me in every milestone that I achieved, from the moment I entered college up until today.
Now that I am also a professor in the academy, I still look up to those that mentored and taught me. Just like them, I want to become a better professor who will help develop amazing professionals in the future. I cannot thank this school and my dear professors enough for everything they have done for me.
SACI was surely my best training ground.
Southeast Asian College Inc. is one of those unique institutions. Not only does SACI and its faculty provide a high standard of education, but they also help students achieve their goals and build careers. They enhance distinctive competencies and skills that nurture a student’s professional life at an exponential pace.
Without a doubt, I made the best choice. I am now a Licensed Physical Therapist working as a private PT. I am able to use the knowledge that I had obtained to provide patients with the highest quality of care.
Being enrolled in the BSPT program was not really my choice. But with the help of our PT professors, who actually cared about our progress and always went the extra mile to help, I continued my journey and successfully finished the program. I was able to appreciate the intricacy of the design and functions of the human brain and the other systems of the body.
I am now a Licensed Physical Therapist, and I am currently using the knowledge I obtained from the program to provide excellent care, improve strength, mobility, function and recapture lives before injury.
Fresh from the Mindoro province with my high school diploma, I came to Manila with no idea of what I was going to become. I didn’t know that applications for colleges and universities start at least 6 months prior to the next school year. I was short on time because classes were about to start in a week.
Fortunately my aunt, who is a registered nurse and an alumna of SACI, helped me apply at her Alma Mater. I got into the College of Radiologic Technology, which is the school’s flagship program with a proven history of producing board topnotchers and competent professionals.
However on my second year, I decided to shift to Physical Therapy because it offered a better situation for me to pursue my dream of becoming a medical doctor. I felt that it would give me the in-depth knowledge of more medicine-oriented subjects like anatomy and physiology. I remember one of my classmates at that time told me I should have been in big universities like UP or UST.
But things happened for a reason. SACI might not be the best school out there, but it has a tight-knit community and the teachers are really compassionate and kind. They take care of their students and cater the schedule for irregular students. They reward hard working students with academic scholarships, which was something I benefited from during my college years.
I eventually passed my board exam and prior to entering medical school, I taught anatomy and physiology as an assistant professor in SACI’s PT department. It was my way of giving back to my alma mater. I am now a 3rd year medical student at University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center Inc.
Whichever school you graduate from, what matters most are your character and determination to never give up. Who would have thought that someone like me, who is from a remote barrio in Mindoro, would be a future doctor in the making!
